The definition of a fool is a person who acts unwisely or imprudently; a silly person. At the beginning of learning something new, you may look like a fool because you are in the beginning stages of discovering how to express yourself in a new way. Whether it be mentally or physically. However, not caring about how you look at the start of a new venture will make a master out of you.
In the picture above I was singing karaoke and having fun, but most people do not know during times like this you are training yourself to be carefree and enjoy the moment your are in and be present. This can teach you how to let go of your fears when you really want to sing in front of an audience and put on a great show. As long as there is some talent to work with, you can cut back on the over acting that was there in your karaoke and be sincere with what emotions you desire to express during that performance. However, if you are afraid to look foolish you will never be bold during practice time like this, preventing you from reaching that freedom that will capture an audience if you decide to showcase your talent in front of a live event that means something to you.
Most people are self-conscious of themselves and always want to look like they are competent and in control. Either because of low self-esteem or a big ego. This holds them back from living a full life and experiencing something they truly want to be a part of. Like talking to a stranger you are romantically interested in on the streets. Most people will not talk due to fear of rejection. So they let them pass by without shooting their shot. Not knowing every ladies man went through the same process until they became skilled at it. I heard someone say on YouTube that you are supposed to only go after things you will not get rejected by. I knew this person did not know what they were talking about. The light bulb would have never been invented if everyone had that guy's ideology. Thomas Edison failed 1000 times to create the light bulb. If he thought like that it would not have been invented during that time. Maybe at a later date by someone else though. You cannot be fazed by failure, in fact, fail forward. With every failure, you learn something new and grow.
